General Purpose

 

Join Our Team as a Casual Hospitality Services Assistant! Are you passionate about hospitality and exceptional customer service? As a Hospitality Services Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for our clients and guests.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Comprehensive Hospitality Duties: Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas, assist with food preparation, light cooking, and serving, including alcohol regulation.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Operate the point-of-sale system and provide top-notch service to clients, ensuring their needs are met with a friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Support for Events and Conferences: Assist with banquets, large-scale functions, and external client events by setting up, serving, and tearing down tables and settings across campus.
  • Administration and Housekeeping: Assist the residence and conference services team as necessary to prepare for conference events.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to strict safety rules, maintain clean and sanitary work areas, including kitchen and dining areas, and ensure food safety standards are met.

 

Requirements

 

Completion of Secondary School, one year of experience with specialized cooking equipment, WHMIS, Food Handlers Certificate, Smart Serve, First Aid, and strong customer service skills.

 

Employee Type: Temporary  
Hourly rate: $19.29 - $21.53 per hour
