General Purpose

Reporting to the Assistant Registrar Enrolment and Graduation, the Scheduling Coordinator provides support to the planning, coordination, and delivery of academic timetabling and examination scheduling for undergraduate, graduate, and diploma programs. Working closely with academic departments, colleges, and service units, this position ensures accurate, conflict-minimized, and student centric schedules. The Scheduling Coordinator works to collect and validate scheduling data, resolve timetable and space conflicts, support enrolment and space optimization, and ensure clear and timely communication of schedules, timelines, and changes to both departments and students.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

As a member of a collaborative team, the Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for: 

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of course timetables.
  • Collecting, reviewing and validating course schedules. 
  • Resolving timetable and room conflicts.
  • Provides accurate communication of class and examination schedules. 
  • Serves as a point person for all scheduling and examination requests. 
  • Maintains scheduling and examination software.
  • Supports the coordination and proctoring of on-campus deferred exams. 

 

Requirements

Requirements for this position include: 2 year college diploma, and 2 years of experience in course scheduling and working with databases. 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends during peak examination periods
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions quickly to resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Exceptional organization skills to keep competing priorities on track
