General Purpose

The Maplewoods Centre for Family Therapy and Child Psychology is a novel and innovative teaching and clinical training hub that embodies a unique collaboration between the distinct professional programs of Relational and Psychotherapy Training Program (RPT) and Clinical Child Adolescent Psychology (CCAP).  Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Supervision in the RPT Program, the incumbent will be principally accountable for 1) coordination of client intake and integrated clinical services 2) ensuring best indirect clinical practice and accreditation standards are maintained 3) coordinating administrative duties within Maplewoods Centre.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Client Services Coordinator (CSC) will support the delivery of the RPT Program and day-to-day operation of the Maplewoods Centre
  • Responsible for conducting timely and structured intake for potential clients
  • Monitor and ensure Therapist Interns adherence to Centre policies and best practice standards for documentation of personal health information records
  • Maintain electronic (eg: e-access; VALT) and data management (eg: TREAT) systems
  • Responsible for tracking and remitting client fees
  • Hire, oversee, schedule and assigning tasks to part-time reception staff 
  • Coordination of information including taking minutes of meetings, gathering statistics for report writing
  • Analysis of accountability programs and in house evaluations
  • Coordinating admission and interviews for prospective RPT Program applicants
  • Work collaboratively with the CCAP Administrative Assistant. 

 

Requirements

  • 2-year college diploma in social services or related field (Bachelor’s degree in Family Relations, Psychology, or related social sciences is preferred); or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 1-2 years experience in a clinical setting providing confidential client services
  • Knowledge of human development, family relations and general mental health
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to work from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive framework
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment, and make critical decisions in crisis or high stress situations
  • Excellent phone etiquette including a strong ability to contain conversations
  • Competence in electronic record and data management and computer systems (ie: MS Office 365 and Qualtrics)
  • Ability to train others in electronic record data management systems
  • Mathematical skills and ability to work within a budget system
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and faculty while also working independently
  • Ability to provide clear, respectful, and supportive feedback to Therapist Interns
