Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Analyst II - UC Technical Services Coordinator will maintain successful operation functionality of departmental digital infrastructures, including Microsoft Office Power Automate, Teams Room Environments, Digital Signage Program, and Facility Services applications and programs. The role will support the digital environment for University Centre operations with a focus on continuous development to streamline services and processes; and a commitment to ensuring all systems are functional, operational, and highly available through continuous proactive monitoring, documentation, development, and scheduled maintenance participation. The successful individual will possess a proactive mindset with a commitment to customer service and supporting internal departmental staff.
In this role the Analyst II - UC Technical Services Coordinator works as part of the UC Facility Services team to implement and advance digital technology solutions, as well as providing technical guidance to clients, including faculty, staff, students, and external members of the University community. This may include Chairs, Deans, Directors and other senior administrators, and will consist of regular interactions that will have provide solutions and recommendations to support the use of standardized digital technology, equipment, and services. In certain situations, the Analyst II - UC Technical Services Coordinator will be required to address urgent or sensitive service requests where they will use their best judgement and customer service skills, based on established University and departmental guidelines, in determining an immediate solution and/or the need for escalation.
When not supporting the service needs of our clients and community members, the Analyst II - UC Technical Services Coordinator will focus on developing and deploying a robust support, maintenance and service structure within our integrated team to support the operation of UC Facility Services and provide a positive impact to the broader university community. The expectation is that they have superior knowledge in one or more of the areas described above.
The Analyst II - UC Technical Services Coordinator will work in a broad set of areas on a rotational schedule to develop and work on projects that may have significant impacts in the University Centre and across the University. They will work with colleagues and leaders from various departments, following established University and departmental guidelines, providing appropriate guidance and services aligning with the goals established for the role and overall for the University Centre department. The Analyst II - UC Technical Services Coordinator will also assist with managing technology related projects on an individual or small team basis, and strive to continue to develop their skills and advance the technological operations of the University Centre, and extensively the University of Guelph.
Requirements
Requirements for this position include an Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience performing similar work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft training certification is an asset. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); strong analytical ability and advanced interpersonal and communication skills; experience learning new systems and data structures quickly and independently; and experience in systems training, process evaluation, and operational support.

The target hiring salary for this position is minimum and up to 96% of midpoint for the salary grade.
